Whilst trying to pull up myself out of the bog I didn’t realize that I accidently shot an image, and it was only after I had pulled myself out of the bog and check my equipment I noticed this interested angle. So I thought ‘what the hell’ and jumped back into the bog and stared shooting in the same direction.

The final shot you see before is the original accidental shot which turned out to be the best version!

The Cove is 80 metres high and 300 metres wide and north of the mid craven fault, Malham Cove is a curved crag of carboniferous limestone formed after the last ice age. Meltwater, particularly from Malham Tarn, cut back the cove as it fell over the edge as a waterfall.

Malham is probably most famous for it’s Limestone pavements and between this pavement and rocks we find these lonely trees. This tree is actually on the side of the cove hanging off the edge. I found a little track down towards the edge of the cove and carefully found a position to set up my equipment and shot this tree.

A plaque affixed to a wall reads:
“This farmhouse has been associated with “Wuthering Heights”, the Earnshaw home in Emily Brontë’s novel. The buildings, even when complete, bore no resemblance to the house she described, but the situation may have been in her mind when she wrote of the moorland setting of the Heights.”

—Brontë Society 1964. This plaque has been placed here in response to many enquiries.

The ruin lies on the Pennine Way east of Withins Height below Delf Hill. It is a popular walking destination from nearby Haworth and Stanbury. Such is the attraction to Japanese literary tourists that some footpath signs in the area include directions in Japanese. (source from Wikipedia)

Those ruins can be seen in this photograph but the real picture was the siamese twin trees behind the ruin.
